SAM BOB'S BOARDS

SAM BOB’S BOARDS is a handcrafted surfboard brand based in Portugal, where each board is shaped with intention, precision, and a deep connection to surf culture. I set out to capture the raw craftsmanship behind his process — the foam, the tools, the atmosphere — and the unique soul that goes into every board. The result is a visual story that blends authenticity, surf lifestyle, and the timeless art of shaping.

In this project, I was responsible for:

• Capturing the raw atmosphere and handcrafted essence of the shaping bay.

• Photographing the artistic process while Sam shaped each surfboard by hand: dust, tools, textures and the organic rhythm of his work.

• Documenting his workspace and the soulful environment where every board takes form.

• Creating a cinematic short film that reflects the brand’s identity, surf culture, and the emotional connection to craftsmanship.
